Research & Awards: I am currently working on research pertaining to pediatric facial scarring exploring the most visually noticeable characteristics, and anatomical locations of scarring after trauma, utilizing eye tracking software. We are also working to validate and strengthen a scar assessment tool that more globally characterizes pediatric facial scarring by placing a greater emphasis on psychosocial impact.

Medical Interests: I have enjoyed all specialities within ENT with a slight emphasis on facial plastics. This has led me to an interest in general ENT.

Hobbies: Biking, kayaking, hiking, running, exploring local breweries and restaurants, getting outdoors with my dogs, sports (Wisconsin Sports), Golf

Why Minnesota: I chose Minnesota because of the strong operative training that this residency program provides. Whether you're looking to pursue a fellowship or a career as a general ENT this program provides with you with a strong operative experience and a heavy caseload. You learn from a large group of faculty members which allows you to experience various surgical techniques to find the method that fits your skill set. Minneapolis as a city offers a great variety of restaurants, breweries and concert venues. The chain of lakes is a great resource for kayaking, biking and running. Whether its cross country skiing in the winter, golfing in the summer or hiking in the fall there is always something to do outdoors. Finally having two dogs it was important for me to have dog friendly resources and the dog parks and dog friendly breweries and restaurants have been amazing assets (visit sidewalkdog.com for details)
