MS, University of Texas - Houston

BN, University of Minnesota

Hometown: Delano, Minnesota

Medical School: University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston

Research & Awards: I’ve participated in a number of research projects in residency, including studies on pre-operative embolization strategies for anterior skull base tumors (Best Poster of the AHNS Skull Base category at COSM 2019), pediatric vascular thrombosis secondary to otolaryngologic infections, and Emergency Department utilization and rehospitalization risk after mandible fractures.

Medical Interests: Currently undecided as to subspecialty plans after residency.

Hobbies: Hiking, rock climbing, running, playing French horn in orchestra, and exploring Twin Cities breweries and restaurants.

Why Minnesota: My ultimate goal with residency training is to be well-versed across the board in all areas of Otolaryngology. The University of Minnesota has multiple staff surgeons in every subspecialty area, and a wide diversity of patient populations with rotations at a private hospital, VA, county medical center, University, and two separate children’s hospitals. The Twin Cities are the largest hub of medical device companies in the country, and there is a wealth of research opportunities available in our department.
